When you spend your time focusing on something new it can fill your days in unexpected ways. Started today picking up a CSA seedling share from Urban Farm with proceeds benefiting their incredible Grow it Green program. When I got home a friend who knows about my new garden reached out to offer me some spare tomato seedlings and shared an assortment that made me giddy. Just got home from a 3.25 mile walk around Central Park with my husband and as we circled the cross country track we passed hundreds of tree seedlings/saplings carefully wrapped to protect them. From a distance the meadows look like they were filled with white plastic pipes but on closer inspection you can see tiny trees hidden deep but several reaching up and out towards the sun.

There are softball fields, lit turf fields, tennis courts, in-line hockey rinks, sand volleyball courts, softball field, a 5K cross-country course, picnic areas, a 5-acre dog park, and an accessible playground.
